In a Recent New York Times Q&A, Terry Gross Was Answering the Questions (Not Asking Them)

Lead in text:
Did you know that she's been the host of your favorite public-radio interview program for more than 35 years? Or that she reads, on the average, a book a day in order to do her job? Or that she's married to Francis Davis, a noted author and jazz critic? This short interview appeared in the 7/22/12 edition of The New York Times Magazine.
You've been hosting "Fresh Air" for 37 years. Is there an endpoint? Or do you hope to drop dead at the microphone? No, when you put it that way. That sounds so horrible in every way. Too graphic? I was picturing decades hence. I still really like my work.

Radiolab: Colors

Our world is saturated in color, from the softest hues to the most lurid, violent stains. But it’s hard to put your finger on how something so intangible can have such a visceral punch. This hour, we ask how the pigments around us color our thoughts, and wonder how much of what we see is on the outside...and how much is created in our heads. From Sir Isaac Newton sticking a needle in his eye, to a sea creature that sees a rainbow far beyond what humans can experience.

RadioLab airs Fridays at 8 pm and Sundays at 6 pm on Public Radio 89.5-1

It’s an episode full of questions that don't have easy answers. Radiolab stares down the very moment of passing, and speculates about what may lay beyond.
