(Information in the following story is from: The Journal Record, http://www.journalrecord.com)

PRYOR, Okla. (AP) Google is moving forward with a $600 million data facility project in Pryor that is expected to bring in dozens of jobs.

Company spokesman Matt Dunne told the Journal Record that Google will eventually employ 100 at the facility in the Mid-America Industrial Park.

Dunne says data centers house large numbers of computers that store and serve large amounts of data.

Operations manager Mike Wooten says data center jobs will require diverse skills and backgrounds, and will range from entry-level repair technicians to data center managers. The company also is hiring electrical engineers and those with information technology expertise.

Wooten says the center will be ready in September.
