Tulsa, OK – TULSA, Okla. (AP) Investors who want to bring a WNBA franchise to Tulsa face a Sept. 1 deadline to land a team for the start of the June 2010 season.
WNBA president Donna Orender laid out the deadline on Wednesday. She told The Associated Press that Tulsa is "well down the road" when it comes to the preparation work.
It is unknown whether Tulsa would be an expansion team or if an existing team would relocate. The investment group did not discuss how much capital had been raised so far.
