Tulsa,OK – Judge acknowleges using 'strong, firm words'
TULSA, Okla. (AP) The contents of a deferred prosecution agreement signed by a Tulsa County District Court judge who had an indecent exposure charge dismissed last month are now public.
In the agreement, Judge Jesse Harris acknowledged using "strong, firm words" while speaking with one of the two women who accused him of indecent exposure.
Washington County District Attorney Rick Esser dismissed the charge against the 54-year-old Harris on June 15, citing the "best interest of justice." Esser also signed the agreement, which the Tulsa World obtained through an open records request.
In the agreement, Harris says he committed the offense of "gross injury of the public peace," which is a misdemeanor. A statement bearing Harris' signature says the offense occurred when he spoke with Kalisha Nolen and told her to "get a real job."
