Ultralight crash at Okmulgee

Okmulgee, OK – 2 injured at Okmulgee when ultralight crashes

OKMULGEE, Okla. (AP) Two people sustained injuries when their ultralight aircraft hit a power line and crashed near Okmulgee.

Oklahoma television station KWTV reports the crash occurred Friday night.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says the plane had engine trouble as the pilot attempted to land just north of Okmulgee near U.S. Highway 75.

The highway patrol says the pilot was airlifted to a Tulsa hospital and a female passenger was taken to a hospital by ambulance. Officials didn't release names or reveal the extent of any injuries.

The Federal Aviation Administration is to investigate.
