There are many ethnic festivals in Tulsa throughout the year, but the ‘Granddaddy’ of them all is this weekend. Tulsa’s Greek Festival is billed as the city’s oldest. Reverend Deacon Michael Stevenson says this is the 54th year, and several thousand people attend the annual event each September, with as many as ten thousand or more served meals every year.
The festival also includes a live band, dancing, crafts, and costumes. It runs until 10 tonight and from 11am until 10pm tomorrow at the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church at 12th and Guthrie.
