Tulsa Police Arrest Pair after Gun Goes Off During Chase

KWGS News

TULSA, Okla. (AP) — Authorities in Tulsa have arrested two men after a gun apparently was fired during a foot pursuit.

Police say 35-year-old Timothy Marion Tiger and 30-year-old Joshua Boffer were arrested about 9:20 p.m. Sunday, about 15 minutes after police attempted to stop a vehicle they were in.

The Tulsa World reports the vehicle attempted to elude police, then slowed down. Boffer then exited, kicking off the foot pursuit.

A police report says Boffer fell, and the officer involved in the chase "heard a sound consistent with a gunshot." Boffer was taken into custody, and officers found two handguns and a wallet near where he fell.

Tiger was also arrested after a brief foot pursuit, during which he allegedly threatened to kill the officers chasing him. Both men face multiple complaints.
