Tulsa Opera's Marriage of Figaro on Performance Oklahoma

Listen to the program promo here!

As artistic director KostisProtopapas writes in the October 2013 edition of the Tulsa Performing Arts Center's Intermission:  "Each new season is an exciting journey in music, word, imagery and emotion and I can't think of a better place to begin this year's journey than Mozart's most perfect opera The Marriage of Figaro!  From the immortal Overture and the comedic genius of the Act II Finale, to the unsurpassed beauty of "Dove sono" and the small miracles of Susanna and Barbarina's arias, the master's touch can be heard on every note of this splendid score, which has been a true joy for me to revisit with our incomparable cast of young American artists."

Performance Oklahoma is thrilled to present  the first ever state-wide broadcasts from the Tulsa Opera, now in it's 66th season!  From "Love, Lust and Religion"  the opening production The Marriage of Figaro by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart will be featured in two special programs with commentary from the cast and artistic staff:  Saturday, November 23rd at 8pm on Classical 88.7-1 KWTU!
