TULSA, Okla. (AP) — A Tulsa man faces a human trafficking charge after being arrested on allegations he used at least one — and possibly as many as three — juvenile female runaways as prostitutes at an east Tulsa motel.
The Tulsa World reports that 39-year-old Damien Wardell was also charged in Tulsa County District Court Friday with five counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor and one count of unlawful possession of a controlled drug.
Wardell was arrested on November 22nd at a Tulsa motel while in the presence of juveniles. He allegedly provided marijuana to them in a room.
He pleaded guilty in March to domestic violence and was given a four-year suspended sentence. He served time in prison for 1996 convictions on drug, firearms and robbery convictions.
