TU, OSU Win, Sooners Fall to Buckeyes

TU Sports Information

TULSA, Okla. (AP) — Dane Evans threw for 282 yards and three touchdowns to Keevan Lucas in less than three quarters and Tulsa rolled to a 58-21 win over North Carolina A and T Saturday. Evans and Lucas connected on a 51-yard scoring play late in the first quarter to give the Golden Hurricane a 24-0 lead.

NORMAN, Okla. (AP) — Noah Brown tied the Ohio State record with four touchdown receptions, and the 3rd ranked Buckeyes rolled past Number 14 Oklahoma 45-24 Saturday night. Oklahoma, which lost its opener to Houston, was in desperate need of a big win to keep its hopes of returning to the College Football Playoff alive. Instead, a school-record home crowd of 87,979 watched the Sooners get dominated for most of the night. Ohio State led 35-17 at halftime.

STILLWATER, Okla. (AP) — When a small storm rolling through delayed Saturday's Oklahoma State-Pittsburgh game with 12:55 left in the fourth quarter and the score tied 38-38, OSU coach Mike Gundy used the extra time to make some much-needed adjustments. Following the almost 2-hour delay, the Cowboys limited the Panthers' effectiveness on offense and then came up with the game-winning touchdown drive.
