TU Law School Again Among Top 100

For a third year, The University of Tulsa College of Law is among the top 100 law schools in the nation, ranked 72nd by U.S. News and World Report 2015 Best Graduate Schools. Over the past five years, TU has advanced 75 places in the rankings based on several factors, including overall quality assessment, reputation, selectivity of student applications, job placement, and faculty resources.

“Consistently rising in the U.S. News rankings – even a place or two – is no small feat. To leap ahead year after year is proof positive of the dedication and excellence of the students, faculty and administration at the College of Law,” said University of Tulsa President Steadman Upham. “TU constantly strives to improve upon past successes and to reimagine what it means to provide a relevant and highly personalized academic experience.”

U.S. News and World Report assessed 194 law schools in the rankings this year. The College of Law earned gains in most categories by focusing on enrolling highly qualified applicants, refining curriculum to align with the practical realities of the market, and providing meaningful professional experiences for students during their legal education.

“Our trajectory is the result of a true community effort. Through the tireless work of our admissions and professional development offices, as well as the unswerving commitment of our faculty, alumni, and students, TU Law remains committed to excellence despite mounting pressure on law schools and the legal job market,” said Janet Levit, Dean of the TU College of Law and Dean John Rogers Endowed Chair. “With our new Access to Legal Education Scholarship program, more students from our region will be able to take advantage of the increasingly valuable education that TU Law offers.”
