An Oklahoma State Highway Patrol Trooper is recovering after being rear-ended by a suspected drunk driver. 23-year-old Trooper Mystal Perkins was on duty, in the Oklahoma City area, early yesterday morning. She was in her patrol car at a stoplight when she was struck from behind by a man driving an F-150 Ford Pick-up.
The Highway Patrol says 26-year-old Juan Gonzales was arrested after a brief struggle. He was booked on a DUI complain, leaving the scene of an accident, resisting arrest and driving without a license.
Trooper Perkins was treated at an Oklahoma City hospital for her injuries and should return to work in a few days.
