Trials Delayed

By KWGS News

Tulsa, OK – A Federal Judge delays the trial of two Tulsa Police officers accused of being on the wrong side of the law. The trial for Jeff Henderson and Bill Yelton, indicted by a grand jury, will be delayed until June to allow attorneys more time to prepare.

With well over two dozen court cases tossed out by the Tulsa Police corruption investigation, the Police Department is trying to rebuild community trust. The Citizens Crime Commission's Carol Bush says they are trying to reassure the Hispanic Community that officers are there to help.

Many of the dismissed cases have been drug related cases that have targeted Hispanics and African Americans.
