A line of thunderstorms swept into Tulsa just before 8 a.m. dumping heavy rain and snarling the morning rush hour. The National Weather Service issued an Urban Stream Advisory because of the heavy rain.
The Tulsa Police Department went to Operation Slick Streets and the rain related wrecks stacked up. At one point had 10-different accidents being investigated at the same time.
Lightning strikes had the fire department and police department responding to numerous alarm calls.
