Thunder Have 2 Picks in 1st Round

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — The Oklahoma City Thunder have two first-round picks Thursday, good news for a franchise that has hit the jackpot on draft night.

While many teams have binged on high-priced free agents, the Thunder have drafted much of the team that reached the NBA Finals in 2012 and the Western Conference Finals three of the past four years, including Kevin Durant, Russell Westbrook and Serge Ibaka. The Thunder could add solid contributors with the Nos. 21 and 29 picks, as they did last year in the first round when they picked up Steven Adams and Andre Roberson.

The Thunder need help at the guard position. Starting shooting guard Thabo Sefolosha is an unrestricted free agent and reserve Derek Fisher is now coaching the New York Knicks.
