Teen in 'Deep' Trouble

COLCORD, Okla. (AP) — Authorities say a Delaware County teenager was pulled to safety after he fell 100 feet into an abandoned water well.

The Delaware County Sheriff's Office says three teenagers were allegedly stealing a section of a car body from a pasture when the incident happened late Monday. Authorities tell Tulsa television station KOTV that the metal was covering the well and the teen accidentally fell in.

The sheriff's office says the teen fell about 100 feet into water at the bottom.

Authorities say the teen was able to climb about 70 feet up the well and a firefighter was lowered in to bring him to safety.

Deputies say the teenager wasn't injured but he and his two friends were cited for attempted theft.
