Chouteau, OK – Okla. storm flips buggy, Amish woman injured

CHOUTEAU, Okla. (AP) A storm that moved through Chouteau flipped a horse and buggy and injured an Amish woman.

Mayes County emergency officials say the Sunday storm struck an Amish community southwest of Choteau.

Mayes County emergency manager Johnny Janzen says downbursts destroyed one barn and damaged several others near Chouteau. Also, six homes sustained roof damage near Pryor and four barns were destroyed.

Janzen says he didn't know the extent of the injuries to the woman hurt in the overturned buggy.
