Service To Remember Crime Victims

The Tulsa County District Attorney invites family and friends of victims of violent crime to gather December 8 for a candlelight memorial service and Christmas tree decorating.

The memorial will be held at 6:30 pm at Chandler Park Community Center 6500 W. 21st St. in Tulsa. Participants are encouraged to bring an ornament to place on a tree in remembrance of a lost loved one. A short program and candlelight service will follow.

“We come together during the season of peace to honor victims and support family and friends who struggle to celebrate Christmas without their loved ones,” said District Attorney Steve Kunzweiler.

“We walk with families through the criminal justice system but we want them to know that in addition to a search for justice, we will not forget the precious lives lost. We hope this gathering helps them understand that they are not alone in their grief, their tears and their memories.”
