Roads Getting Better, Still Slick

ODot Traffic Camera

The roads are slowly improving across northeast Oklahoma. While the temperature is still well below freezing, the sunshine, traffic and melting chemicals are causing the streets to thaw.

City crews have been working around the clock since Saturday night to get a handle on the streets. The crews from the Oklahoma Department of Transportation have likewise been working on state highways and expressways. ODot released a state just after 11 a.m.

ODOT: "Oklahoma Department of Transportation crews report road conditions throughout the state on highways and interstates as slick with snow packed areas. Unnecessary travel is discouraged. Highway crews are plowing snow packed areas and applying sand/salt to bridges and roadways. ODOT crews are out in full force and will continue to work to clear all lanes of highways and interstates."
