Public Radio 89.5 & Classical 88.7 Broadcasting at Low Power

The transmission line and antenna checks out and the intermittent transmission power dropouts have stopped after a through examination of the Public Radio 89.5 transmitter. Both station operations are now back to normal.

Online reception on PCs, smartphones, and tablets is unaffected.

Public Radio 89.5 appears to be operating normally, but then randomly drops off-air. Brad and Tim are at the transmitter site troubleshooting this problem.

Automatic systems within both the KWGS and KWTU transmitters in Coweta reduced power to avoid damage. An apparent antenna or transmission line problem was detected. Chief engineer Brad Newman and consulting engineer Tim Diehl are investigating.
