Preliminary Hearing Waived

OSBI

TULSA, Okla. (AP) — A Bristow man charged as an accessory in the 1992 slayings of three people has waived his right to a preliminary hearing.

Grover Prewitt, who faces a charge of accessory to first-degree murder, appeared before Creek County Special Judge Richard Woolery on Friday. The Tulsa World reports Woolery scheduled Prewitt's district court arraignment for November 12th.

Investigators uncovered the remains of 23-year-old Wendy Camp, her 6-year-old daughter, Cynthia Britto, and Camp's sister-in-law, 22-year-old Lisa Kregear, buried eight feet beneath a grassy field near Jennings on April 16th, 2013.

The land was owned by Prewitt and his mother, Ida Prewitt, at the time the victims disappeared. He is accused of helping his now-deceased mother and other family members avoid prosecution for the slayings by concealing the bodies and other evidence.
