Tulsa, Oklahoma – On this edition of our show, we speak with Chris Crawford, artistic director of Playhouse Theatre. This Tulsa-based company, now in its second season, is presenting "A Charlie Brown Christmas" at the Tulsa PAC's Liddy Doenges Theatre from December 9th through the 12th. As Crawford tells us on today's StudioTulsa, this production is a new, original, fun-for-the-whole-family adaptation (executed by Crawford himself) of the animated TV classic, which first appeared on CBS in the mid-1960s. The story is probably as familiar as it is beloved: Charlie Brown feels a bit depressed as the holidays draw nearer, Snoopy has an over-decorated doghouse, and Sally only seems to care about getting presents from Santa --- plus there's all that great music by Vince Guaraldi. (For more information on this production, including ticket details, go to [http://www.tulsapac.com/calendar.asp?id=1574&thedate=12/7/2010&task=display].) Also on today's show, our commentator Connie Cronley remembers the great Oklahoma historian and author Angie Debo.
