Plane Crash At Mohawk

By Associated Press

Tulsa, OK – 3 die when plane goes down in Tulsa, Okla., park

TULSA, Okla. (AP) Authorities say a twin-engine plane whose pilot asked to make an emergency landing at Tulsa International Airport went down instead in a wooded area of a city park northwest of the airport, killing all three people aboard.

Those killed in the crash in Mohawk Park about 10 p.m. Saturday were identified by officials as 51-year-old pilot Chase Bales and two passengers 37-year-old Damian Riddoch and 41-year-old Mats Malmberg. Authorities said Malmberg survived the crash and was rushed to a Tulsa hospital, but died shortly after his arrival there.

The three men, executives with high-end off-road motorcycle maker US Highland Inc. in the Tulsa suburb of Glenpool, were returning from a business trip to Detroit.
