A Phi Beta Kappa Visiting Scholar Lecture by Paige West of Barnard/Columbia

Mar 9, 2018

Our guest on StudioTulsa is Prof. Paige West of Barnard College in Columbia University. She's an anthropologist who's been researching the Pacific Island country of Papua New Guinea for more than two decades. On Monday the 12th, beginning at 7pm in TU's Chapman Hall Lecture Hall, she'll give a Phi Beta Kappa Visiting Scholar Lecture entitled "Dispossession, Racism, and the Environment." (More on this talk is posted here.) Also on today's show, our commentator Mark Darrah reports on why he stopped watching TV (gasp!) in the early 1970s...and how he lived to tell about it.
