Parking Rates to Be Studied

By KWGS News

Tulsa, OK – A proposal for increasing parking meter fees and operation hours will be studied more. Downtown businessman Michael Sagar was among those asked the city council for more revenue.

City Councilor Maria Barnes---who represents downtown--- thinks it is a dangerous idea in the middle of downtown revitalization. The proposal would raise parking rates to $1 per-hour and increase enforcement till 8P.M. Currently enforcement ends at 5P.M.

The council will consider the plan in 60-days after getting more downtown input.
