Parker Trial Update

By AP

Mangun, OK – Doctor testifies Parker seemed afraid of Dial

MANGUM, Okla. (AP) A psychiatrist says a former Oklahoma prison warden's wife accused of aiding the escape of a convicted killer 17 years ago appeared to be afraid of the man she allegedly helped go free.

Edmond psychiatrist Dr. Robert B. Nisbet testified Monday for the defense. He says an interview transcript shows Bobbi Parker was fearful of Randolph Dial.

Prosecutors allege Parker fell in love with Dial and helped him break out of the Oklahoma State Reformatory in August 1994.

Parker has denied any wrongdoing. Her attorneys say she was kidnapped and held hostage for more than a decade.

In the interview, Parker told investigators that Dial threatened to hurt her family and that she tried to be seen in public where someone might recognize her.
