Oklahoma high school student charged in wrestling incident

MOORE, Okla. (AP) — An Oklahoma high school student has been charged with rape by instrumentation after he allegedly sexually assaulted two junior high school students.

The 17-year-old wrestling team member was charged Thursday as a youthful offender. Moore police Sgt. Jeremy Lewis says the student posted a $15,000 bond after appearing in district court on Friday.

A preliminary hearing in the case was also set for April 29. Court records do not indicate if the accused student has an attorney.

Records show the incident occurred on Jan. 19, when authorities say he allegedly bullied two junior high school students as they were preparing to leave for a wrestling match in the Oklahoma City suburb of Edmond.

Police allege the student sexually assaulted the other two students.
