TULSA, Okla. (AP) — Gov. Mary Fallin is scheduled to host a meeting in New Mexico to discuss ways to connect education and the workforce.
Fallin will host the event Monday as part of her chairmanship of the National Governors Association.
The event agenda includes education, business and government leaders discussing what governors can do to more closely align K-12, universities, community and technical colleges with workforce training providers with future labor demands.
Governors will also talk about how to identify states' future labor demands, prioritize changes in state education and workforce training systems to meet those demands and take action to achieve their desired results.
