OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — AAA Oklahoma says gasoline prices in the state have fallen an average of 26 cents in the past 20 days due largely to strong supplies and low demand.
Since July 22, when the price of self-serve regular gasoline hit a 2015 high of $2.65 per gallon, prices have fallen to a statewide average of about $2.39.
AAA says the national average price for regular unleaded gasoline has fallen for 27 consecutive days, reaching Tuesday's average of $2.58 per gallon. It's the longest streak of consecutive declines since January.
The national average has moved lower by 20 cents per gallon during the period. Drivers are saving six cents per gallon week-over-week, and 18 cents per gallon month-over-month.
Tuesday's average gas price is 90 cents lower than this same date last year.
