Oklahoma City Police Shoot, Kill Man During Confrontation

File Photo

Oklahoma City police have shot and killed a man on the city's southwest side.

Sgt. Gary Knight says two officers investigating reports of gunshots at an apartment complex about 12:30 a.m. Sunday were confronted by an armed man who was shot by the officers.

No names have been released.

Knight said he didn't know if the man fired at the officers and said he can't comment on whether a weapon was recovered.

Knight said neither officer was injured and that both are on paid leave pending an investigation into the shooting.
