Officials Identify Man Killed at Muskogee Plant

Officials identify man killed at Muskogee plant

MUSKOGEE, Okla. (AP) — Officials have identified the man killed while working at a Georgia-Pacific paper plant in Muskogee.

Officials say 33-year-old Clint Woods worked as an electrical contractor who was subcontracted through Industrial Controls of Oklahoma. Woods died Wednesday in an accident at the plant, but officials have not released details of the incident or a cause of death.

Co-workers described Woods as a "terrific guy" who was married with two children. He attended Fort Gibson High School.

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration is investigating the death. Georgia-Pacific spokeswoman Julie Vandewater tells the Muskogee Phoenix that Woods' death is the first fatal accident since Georgia-Pacific bought the paper plant in 2000.
