Norman Police Seize 14K Packages of Synthetic Drug

NORMAN, Okla. (AP) — Police in Norman have seized 14,000 packages of suspected synthetic drugs during a traffic stop on Interstate 35.

Officers made the stop on Thursday near the 112 mile marker.

The driver was not arrested but the investigation is continuing. The motorist told police he was driving from Dallas to Kansas City.

Investigators said the seized substances have an estimated value of $400,000.

The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation is testing the substances and charges may depend on the outcome of the tests.

The driver's name wasn't released.
