On the Next Edition of All This Jazz, Cool Sounds and "Hot" Tunes Galore

Tune in for the next All This Jazz, airing on Saturday the 18th at 9pm here on Public Radio 89.5 / KWGS-FM...and online via "Listen Live" stream at PublicRadioTulsa.org.

Our recently-expanded program now delivers three hours of modern jazz -- across a range of styles -- each and every Saturday night, from 9 till midnight. (We also offer a 7pm re-airing of ATJ on Sunday evenings, on Jazz 89.5-2, which is Public Radio Tulsa's all-jazz HD Radio channel.)

From Mose Allison to Joe Zawinul -- and from Airto to Zoot Sims -- All This Jazz is happily sincere about the "all" part of its moniker; we've long delighted in modern jazz in its many various forms, and we dig sharing the same with our listeners.

Also, in the theme-driven, 11-to-midnight hour of our next show, we'll be cooling off with all manner of "Hot" jazz tunes...from Cole Porter's "Too Darn Hot" to Kenny Wheeler's "Hotel Le Hot" to Paul Desmond's "From the Hot Afternoon" (pictured herewith).

Please join us for a program that will also feature music by James Moody, Geri Allen, Jeff "Tain" Watts, and several others.

If you're a jazz fan, then All This Jazz is your ball of wax, for sure. (And two final points: ATJ playlist information can usually be found here...and we also maintain a Facebook page for our show. Thank you.)

Scott Gregory started working at Public Radio Tulsa in 2006; he started listening to public radio circa 1980, when he and NPR both marked their tenth birthdays (although only one of them commemorated the occasion with a party at Skate World). Scott became this radio station's Operations Director in the summer of 2023; he also hosts and programs All This Jazz, which airs every Saturday night on Public Radio 89.5-1 from 9pm till midnight.
