What impact will Obamacare have on health services provided at the Tulsa County jail? The Sheriff’s Office says it’s a big unknown right now. Bids are being considered from companies that want to provide health care for inmates at the Moss Center. Undersheriff Tim Albin says finalists have been interviewed, but a fly in the ointment is the Affordable Care Act and what impact it may have. He says the companies bidding for the contract don’t know exactly what the effect might be and neither does the Sheriff’s Office at this time.

Albin hopes a bidder will be chosen for the jail healthcare contract by the end of this month. The cost could be more than four and a half million dollars.
