The Energy and Power Subcommittee deals with laws, programs, and government activities affecting energy.

The Commerce, Manufacturing, and Trade Subcommittee focuses on regulation of commerce plus consumer affairs and consumer protection. The Oversight and Investigations Subcommittee reviews agencies and departments that include the departments of Energy, Health and Human Services, Transportation and the Federal Trade Commission, Food and Drug Administration, and Federal Communications Commission.
