Tulsa, OK – Daughter of Okla charity founder fired

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) The daughter of Oklahoma City-based Feed The Children founder Larry Jones has been fired from the charity.

Spokesman Tony Sellars on Monday confirmed that Larri Sue Jones no longer works for the charity, formed in 1979 by Larry Jones and his wife, Frances. The reason for Larri Sue Jones' dismissal, first reported in The Oklahoman, wasn't released.

Her firing comes after her father's employment was terminated in November amid a bitter dispute for control of the organization, known for its television advertisements seeking donations to feed starving children around the world.

Larry Jones was fired in part because he had authorized the installation of hidden microphones in the offices of his daughter and two other executives.

Larri Sue Jones couldn't be reached for comment on Monday.
