Tulsa, OK – On today's show, a lively and thought-provoking discussion of painting, aesthetics, creativity, and artistic ambition. Our guest is the chatty, funny, and ever-reflective Stanley Lewis, an established painter and longtime art teacher who's currently a professor at the New York Studio School. Lewis is the University of Tulsa's Ruth Mayo Distinguished Painter for 2011 --- and an exhibition of his work, "Stanley Lewis: Paintings and Drawings," will be on view in the Hogue Gallery on the TU campus from today (Thursday the 10th) through December 15th. Lewis will give a free-to-the-public lecture about his work this afternoon, beginning at 4:00 pm, in the Jerri Jones Lecture Hall in TU's Phillips Hall. Immediately afterwards, there will be a reception in the Hogue Gallery lasting till 7:00 pm.
