Tulsa, Oklahoma – On today's edition of ST, we speak with the New York-based dancer and choreographer Erin Dudley, who will be performing a show (of her own creation) called "Dreams Damned" tonight and tomorrow night --- the 4th and 5th --- at 8pm at the Williams Theatre in the Tulsa PAC. Dudley's show is presented as part of Living Arts of Tulsa's New Genre Arts Festival XVIII, which features cutting-edge works in the areas of installation, dance, music, and theatre, and which is happening at venues throughout the city through March 19th. As we learn on today's program, Dudley grew up in Texas and has been part of the New York dance community since 1993; she's presented her work all over the Big Apple as well as in Chile, Brazil, and Canada. She's also deeply influenced by the modern (and quite paradoxical) Japanese form of dance/movement --- and thought/philosophy --- known as Butoh, and by her own ongoing experiences as both a student and teacher of yoga.
