After missing two previous target dates, contractors on Friday, reopened Lewis Avenue over Interstate-44.
The roadway was shut down for two years while the Oklahoma Department of Transportation widened I-44 below. The work called for a new bridge at Lewis. This was the last major project in the widening of the expressway system through Tulsa.
