It is Official: It is RECORD Cold

File photo

Just how cold is it?

The bitter cold that settled over northeastern Oklahoma shattered a 102-year-old record. The temperature in Tulsa officially dropped to -1 shortly after 7 a.m. That broke a record  of zero for an all time low on this date. That record was set back in 1912.

We will end the day no where near the record high for this date. That is 74-degrees set, not that long ago, in 2008.  In fact, we will not be anywhere near the average high for this date which is 47-degrees. The average low temperature in 27-degrees, some 11-degrees above today expected high of 16.
