It all changes today.
This is the first day of school in the Tulsa Public School District. 40,000 students have returned to some 86 different school sites in Tulsa.
Students will see changes in their day to day classroom experiences. Superintendent Deborah Gist said: “We want to foster safe, supportive, and joyful school cultures for our children, so this year school leaders and teachers throughout the district will share a common approach to creating positive learning spaces that allow our school teams to form life-altering relationships with students. We want to ensure that students feel cared for and supported by the adults in their schools.
Police remind you to watch out for school zones, buses and children walking and crossing the street.
