Tulsa, OK – The Tulsa City Council meets in executive session this afternoon at five to take up two matters. One is a lawsuit, but the other deals with the investigation into comments made by the Mayor's office.

While the agenda does not specify this, sources tell KWGS News the council will consider expanding its probe to include Mayor Bartlett.

At issue is whether Chief of Staff Terry Simonson misled the council over use of a Justice Department grant. Simonson told the council that to repurpose the grant to pay police officers salaries, that there needed to be a "triggering event". It was later learned that the officers did not have to be laid-off, prior to changing the grant's mission.
