Catoosa, OK – Assistant police chief suspended
CATOOSA, Okla. (AP) Catoosa authorities say the assistant police chief has been suspended as part of a drug probe.
According to a statement Friday by Police Chief Raymond Rodgers, assistant Police Chief Paul Whitmire has been suspended with pay pending the outcome of an investigation by the Rogers County Drug Task Force.
Whitmire declined a request for comment.
According to the police department's Web site, Whitmire began working for the Catoosa Police Department in 1992.
Another veteran Catoosa police officer, John Mines, also was suspended recently in connection with the task force probe.
