Incumbent Delaware County Sheriff Wins Election Recount

Incumbent Delaware County Sheriff Harlan Moore has retained his position after an election vote recount.

Democratic challenger Mike Shambaugh requested a recount in his race against the incumbent after unofficial results showed him losing to the Republican candidate 7,797 to 7,790.

The Grand Lake News reports that the results of the recount show Moore won the election by a count of 7,797 to 7,792.

The final tally is expected to be certified by the Delaware County Election Board on Friday.
