Grove Woman Votes for the First Time in 90 Years

An Oklahoma woman made history Tuesday by casting her ballot for the first time at 90 years old during the 2016 General Election.

The Grove Sun reports that Marge Snowden was born six years after women received the right to vote, but for a variety of reasons never registered to vote. When Snowden married her husband, she spent her time raising the family and left the voting to her husband.

Snowden cast her vote for Donald Trump, saying that she thinks he is a better leader and trusts men to lead.

The newly registered voter decided to vote after her children discovered she was not registered. At their encouragement and help, Snowden made it to the polls.

Snowden plans on voting again in the 2020 election as well.
