Tulsa, Oklahoma – On today's show, we chat with animator Miwa Matreyek and theatre director Chi-wang Yang, two Los Angeles-based artists who (along with the musician Anna Oxygen) collaborate and jointly perform as the ensemble known as Cloud Eye Control. This ensemble will soon present "Under Polaris" as a part of Living Arts of Tulsa's New Genre Festival XVIII. As we learn, "Under Polaris" is a heady mixture of projected animation, live theater, and electronic music that tells the story of an icebound quest to plant a seed containing the full biological and psychological "blueprint" of humanity. "Under Polaris" will be staged at the Williams Theatre in the Tulsa PAC on March 11th and 12th at 8pm; for more information, please visit http://livingarts.org/newgenre2011/ng18.html#polaris. Also on today's ST, our commentator Mark Darrah remembers a certain former co-worker named Wayne. Wayne, as it turned out, had a special gift: he was great at listening to people, at "always making time" for them.
