Tulsa, OK – Tulsa struggling to return to normal after snow

TULSA, Okla. (AP) Trash crews will be back on Tulsa streets this week as the city tries to return to normal after a 20-inch snowfall. More snow is on the way, however and schools in the area remain closed.

The city has been struggling to restore key services since last Tuesday's blizzard crippled parts of Oklahoma, the Midwest and New England. City police are responding to accidents only if there are injuries involved and public works crews are still clearing streets of snow.

Schools including Tulsa, Jenks, Union, Broken Arrow, Owasso, Claremore, Catoosa, Coweta, Bixby, Glenpool and Sapulpa remain closed Monday because of hazardous neighborhood streets and parking lots and walkways that haven't been cleared.

Weather forecasters are saying 5-10 inches of snow could fall this week around Tulsa.
