Former D.A. to Run for Congress

KWGS News

Former Tulsa County District Attorney Tim Harris announces he will be a candidate for 1st District Congress. The Republican’s announcement sounded a lot like a Sunday church service.

He told a crowd of well-wishers that "Government is not our savior." He told the audience "there is only one Savior and that is Jesus, the Son of God". Harris says the two guiding documents in his life are the Holy Bible and the U.S. Constitution. Harris says the constitution guarantees religious freedom. Without citing which ones, he feels those freedoms are being taken away. Despite his strong Christian belief, he says he can represent all people and will be willing to listen to those who disagree with him.

Harris used boxing gloves to show that he would fight for the people of the first district. Incumbent Congressman Jim Bridenstine has announced he won’t seek another term. He could be named the next administrator of NASA. If so, there would be a special election to replace him.
