Flu Hospitalizations Rising in Oklahoma

File photo

As 2014 comes to an end, the flu season in Oklahoma is ramping up. 250 people have been hospitalized with the virus since late September, and there are several months to go in the flu season. State Epidemiologist Kendra Dougherty agrees the vaccine isn’t working as well as in past years, but says you should still take it. She says it should have some effect, and minimize any symptoms you will get.

Tulsa County has the most hospitalizations, with 42 and counting.
