Enid Teen to Stand Trial on Manslaughter Charge

ENID, Okla. (AP) — An Enid teenager accused of running over her boyfriend with a pickup truck has been bound over for trial on a second-degree manslaughter charge.

Nineteen-year-old Jonna Marie Jordan is accused in the November death of 44-year-old Orlando Rutledge. Prosecutors allege that Jordan backed over Rutledge with the truck after the two got into an altercation.

According to police, Jordan told officers that she did not intentionally run over Rutledge.

She was bound over for trial Tuesday in Garfield County. According to the Enid News & Eagle Jordan faces two to four years in prison if convicted of second-degree manslaughter.

Jordan is due in court Aug. 11 for an arraignment.
